Welcome Refugees

We cannot make distinctions between new asylum seekers and the thousands of Sans Papiers already in Belgium. We want to be welcomed, everyone must have a chance

This is the appeal made by a North African boy on the stage of nice public meeting which was held yesterday in front of the Gare du Nord in Brussels a few meters from the camp set up to accommodate the new migrants lately arrived  in Belgium.

Civil society, voluntary associations, NGOs and political organizations, all in solidarity and support to people arriving in Europe escaping war and poverty, called for welcoming all and a serious rethinking of the Treaty of Dublin rules on asylum.
After discussion at a General Assembly level, 10 working groups have been created switching to the operational phase of active support.

The most important event is scheduled on September 26th when there will be a national demonstration (“Welcome Refugees”), while the assembly and working groups continue their work organizing public meetings and other principals.

(DIS ) INFORMATION
WHAT IF THE PHOTOJOURNALIST SAYS NO?

” Is it really worth the danger to take to the streets ” armed ” with camera or camcorder to tell what happens? Is it worth risking your health, as well as the equipment, in order to contribute to propaganda and disinformation?”

These are the questions posed by Valerio Nicolosi , filmmaker and photographer, in the aftermath of the street demonstrations of the ” antagonists ” that took to the streets of Rome last October 19.

The event is scheduled for Friday, November 15 at 7 pm in the House of the Storytellers of Shoot4Change, in Rome, in via del Mandrione 105: information professionals, videomakers,  photographers, journalists, editors, newspapers directors will discuss the growing suffering of the Movements against information professionals that are put at risk by the Information system that fails to protects and exposes them to higher risks in order to hit the news.
An event and a debate that we launch on the eve of November 16, the day when demonstrators are expected to  take to the streets in Susa Valley, in Naples, Pisa and  Gradisca di Isonzo.
