a TRUE anti racism laboratory in the Hearth of Rome / Un vero laboratorio antirazzismo nel cuore di Roma

Rome, albeit what many think, is not a cosmopolitan capital.
We have just started to see what words such as integration, second/third generation immigration, cultural diffences really mean.
There is one school in the hearth of Rome, the Di Donato school, that is a real social laboratory and everytime we visit it (from Kidzdream collaboration to these anti racism football championships) it’s like breathing fresh air.
S4C photographer Michele Magini visited the school and this is an extract of what he learnt and saw.

Roma non è propriamente una capitale cosmopolita. Solo recentemente stiamo realmente facendo i conti con concetti quali l’intercultura, l’integrazione, con le seconde generazioni degli immigrati degli ultimi anni.

La città si sta splendidamente colorando e la nostra cultura, nonostante i dubbi di alcuni idioti, si sta coloratamente arricchendo.

C’e’ una scuola nel cuore della città. La scuola omnicomprensiva Di Donato. Un vero laboratorio sociale dove bambini di tutte l’etnia sconfessano i luoghi comuni e danno una speranza per il futuro della nostra pigra società.

Michele Magini l’ha visitata ieri in occasione di una manifestazione sportiva anti razzismo.
